Rothman Orthopaedic Specialty Hospital is a single-specialty surgical hospital in Bensalem, Pennsylvania. Our hospital was developed by Rothman physicians to provide their patients high quality and patient-focused care. Our facility features 6 fully-equipped operating rooms and 24 in-patient rooms. We are equipped for joint replacements, orthopedic surgery, pain management and spine surgery, as well as sports medicine, foot and ankle, shoulder and elbow, and hand and wrist procedures.


JOB SUMMARY:                                     

Coordinates patient registration and update patient's EMR with personal and financial information. Verify patient insurance and assess need for Pre-certification for all Cyberknife patients. Performs clerical duties as well as billing and administrative tasks. Coordinates patient information as needed with the business office.


  • Associates degree preferred.
  • Two years' experience in a registration role at a healthcare center.
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong communication and organization skills required.
  • Able to handle sensitive patient information with confidentiality
  • Proficient in MS Office applications which include Outlook, Word, Excel


  • Admits patients to the Facility following the established policies and procedures..
  • Ensures paperwork/charts are in order as requested by Clinical Staff and that patient flow through Cyberknife center or hospital is smooth.
  • Verifies patient insurance, obtains pre-certification, and collects patient responsibility at time of service. Obtains patient signature on promissory notes as needed, coordinated patient medical bills with billing office as needed.
  • Coordinates reception area activities for effective communication with all areas of the Cyberknife/Hospital department.
  • Answers telephone and intercom courteously, and in a quiet, pleasant voice.
  • Maintains coverage at front desk at all times.
  • Participates in training/cross-training as directed.
